We are delighted to welcome two new Clinical Associates to the DSDC Team; Lindsay Dingwall and Dio Giotas have been working away behind the scenes over the last few weeks to help us with the updates to the Best Practice in Dementia Care Learning Programme. Best Practice Updates
The Best Practice in Dementia Care Learning Programme has experienced its biggest update to date. Whether you are a current Facilitator or looking to implement the Best Practice Programme in your organisation, the changes will bring a plethora of enhancements for you.

Gold for Knowl Park House
DSDC is delighted to award Knowl Park House in Mirfield a Gold Audit Accreditation Award for its Design for Dementia and Ageing – congratulations!

DSDC Supports SSAFA (The Armed Forces Charity)
For over 10 years now, we have been supporting the amazing work of SSAFA. We have been providing specific dementia education training to veterans, case workers and volunteers, who support people living with a dementia.

The Importance of the inclusion of people living with a dementia in training and education
The importance of inclusion cannot be overstated, particularly when it comes to individuals living with a dementia. For too long, people with a dementia have been marginalised and excluded from societal participation, including teaching and education. However, it is imperative that we recognise the value and contributions that individuals living with a dementia can make in these areas. By embracing their involvement, we can foster a more inclusive and empathetic society, while also gaining valuable insights and perspectives.
