Care & Design Consultancy

Our multi-disciplinary team work with organisations around the world to help them achieve service excellence, whether that be through care provision and/or the built environment. Each organisation has different requirements, and we can tailor our services to support your organisation and staff.

Most clients start this process with a discussion around their current challenges, project plans and their objectives. From there the team can recommend what services we believe will be most suitable. Consultancy services can include charettes, plan reviews, audit accreditations and training, although our scope is much wider. We recognise that there is no one size fits all approach, which is why our services have been designed to be flexible.

Many of our consultancy clients opt for support from our design services, outlined below.

Our Design Services

  • Plan and Scheme Reviews

DSDC offers a cost-effective, electronic way to ensure plan and design scheme proposals meet design criteria set out in the Environments for Ageing and Dementia Design Assessment Tool (EADDAT). This is ideal for clients seeking independent advice on the appropriateness of design proposals.

  • Design Audit Accreditation

DSDC can carry out an official audit of an environment to assess its suitability for people living with a dementia, and an ageing population, using DSDC’s Environments for Ageing and Dementia Design Assessment Tool (EADDAT). EADDAT is a highly respected series of resources used for carrying out environmental audits. An official DSDC audit can lead to an independent award, and has proven of great practical and reputational value to organisations.

  • Bespoke Enhanced Design Consultancy

For clients who want to maintain DSDC input on a project, either from inception to completion or at key points in the design development. This can include literature reviews and research collaboration.
