Scotland’s Housing Festival 2022

DSDC's Acting Director and Chief Architect, Lesley Palmer, presented interim findings and recommendations from the Scottish Government’s Housing and Dementia forum at the Chartered Institute of Housing’s (CIH) ‘Scotland’s Housing Festival 2022’ at the SEC in June 2022.

The Housing and Dementia Forum is co-chaired between DSDC and CIH Scotland and over the last year they explored key themes focusing on housing options and requirements for people living with dementia. The group was keen to understand how housing providers could support people living with dementia to remain in their own homes as they age.

In this short video, Lesley highlights the key discussion themes from the sub-group and provides some top tips for housing providers.

The final report is due to be released by the Scottish Government in Autumn 2022 and details will be available through DSDC and CIH newsletters.
